Does this look like something from outer space? Yes! Not of the alien type but totally could be! It's intended to be a planet orbiting around a sun, or you could say it's a moon orbiting around a planet.
In essence, each of the 2 spheres free spin (via their own bearing) independently from each other, creating quite the challenge to hold the 2 at the same time (thumb on the smaller sphere).
As you can see from the pics, there are 2 common ways to hold it. With the thumb straight (more difficult) or with the thumb to the side. Both ways are extremely difficult, making this a great tool to train focus, balance and pressure.
The eye hook is also on a bearing to eliminate the user from stabilizing the implement against the loading pin.
The pics show a smaller sphere diameter of 1.5" with a larger sphere of 3". However, they are interchangeable, allowing you to vary the challenge or accommodate different hand sizes. Please indicate in the cart notes if you wish to purchase additional spheres (1" = $20 CAD, 1.5" = $25 CAD, 2" = $30 CAD, 3" = $40 CAD).
By default, the finish on the spheres are kept to raw steel to support consistency in competitions and also to allow for natural seasoning. However, as always, we're more than happy to accommodate any particular finishes to support your artistic and training desires.
