The octo-cone, as suggested by its name, is an eight-sided cone. While retaining the overall cone shape, this geometrical alternative provides for a different feel, yet remain familiar.
They are surprisingly ergonomic! The distinct sides of the cones allow the fingers and thumb to bend naturally along the knuckle joints, and provide a sense of certainty in hand placement. Because of the octagonal symmetry, the grip feels somewhat like a pinch in additional to employing vertical strength.
The octo-cone comes in 3 different levels of flare:
Narrow (Approx. 1.5" flaring to 3")
Medium (Approx. 1.5" flaring to 3.75")
Wide (Approx. 1.5" flaring to 4.5")
The narrow variant feels the most similar to The Little Big Horn. The medium variant feels similar to our vertical cone. And the wide variant feels different altogether from other cones out there.
By default, cones only come in raw steel to allow for natural seasoning and to maintain consistency in competitions.
