These hubs are tapered to provide additional challenge compared to traditional cylindrical hubs. Because of the angle of the top edge, there is less reliance on skin friction, creating more reliance on finger strength.
Hubs are 4" in diameter at the base, and are 3/4" tall.
These are top-loaded and will require an open top style loading pin (sold separately here). When fixed to the loading pin, this reduces tilting and mimics traditional hub lifts better than standard loops.
The grip surface is kept to raw steel by default in order to maintain consistency in competition and to allow for natural seasoning.
